New Design Loft + Upper Offices

New Design Loft + Upper Offices

New year, new Design space!  Our Design Team’s long-awaited migration to our Design Loft + Upper Offices is finally here.  With fun graphics and signage everywhere, as well as new mood and color match friendly lighting, our self-proclaimed Sign Nerds are settling in and getting inspired in their new space.  Swing by Creative Sign for a tour of our facility and make sure to stop by the upper level!

Our giant glasses are made from budget-friendly Gatorfoam, painted to match our accent wall.  Tiny nails hang up our Chemmetal laminate samples that flutter in a breeze.   And for those unfamiliar with the sign industry, “a box on a stick” is what we call a boring pylon sign.  (Our Fab team hates building boxes on sticks, and our Design team hates drawing them, so bring us your challenges and let our masters work!)

What a difference paint and vinyl can make!  Our Upper Offices were formerly our neon room… so we’re giving a nod to its past life with some neon signs we came across during clean up.  Every square inch needed a paint job – stairs and corrugated ceiling included!  But the work was worth it.  Graphics color matched the vinyl applied to our PMS staircase and full vinyl prints were applied to all doors.  Bright, graphic colors, playful signage, and raw metal accents make this new space into a shrine to the sign industry.  Even an unused tube turned into a Mario pipe and a utility room panel is decked out with glow in the dark LOTR vinyl.

It’s really a shame we don’t have any fun here….

Rockstar of the Quarter: Jessie Niles

Rockstar of the Quarter: Jessie Niles

And Creative Sign Rockstar of the Quarter goes to…. Jessie Niles!

Position:  Sign Consultant / Service Coordinator

Trait of Extreme Awesomeness:  Work Commitment

What her co-worker has said about her:  “Jessie is one of the hardest working people at our company, along with one of the most diligent workers I’ve ever met.  She is constantly trying her best to exceed expectations while managing an enormous workload.”

Jessie joined the Creative Sign team in in 2020, when a number of companies were feeling the pinch and laying off workers.  She soon found that the workload for her position at Creative was high and quickly began to balance multiple projects and additional responsibilities.  She’s a member of the Creative Sign Safety Team, took on the Service Coordinator position, and covered for multiple people while they were on vacation and leave over the summer.

Her thorough and helpful nature soon helped her gain respect and love from so many of her co-workers across many departments and positions.  “Jessie is a workhorse salesperson who never shies away from helping others and will take on anything!  She’s thorough, organized, and great to work with!  Definite Rockstar material!”

Congrats, Jessie!  We’re so happy to have you on our team!

Rockstar of the Quarter: Tracy Burkel

Rockstar of the Quarter: Tracy Burkel

And Creative Sign Rockstar of the Quarter goes to…. Tracy Burkel!

Position:  Senior Project Manager

Trait of Extreme Awesomeness:  Identity

What her co-worker has said about her:  “Tracy is truly a joy to be around and do work for.  Her always appreciative words make me want to strive to do better whenever I am working with her.  She’s professional, thorough and always willing to answer questions.”

Tracy joined the Creative Sign team in May of 2016 when Creative Sign was in a time of growth and transition.  We were in the midst of expanding our building and staff to accommodate our large increase in customers and projects.  Tracy’s ability to balance many duties and sign packages at once made her an immediate help in managing ADA jobs in that expanding department.  As the ADA Department grew (largely due to Tracy’s awesome customer service and methodical handling of projects), Tracy was able to bring new and exciting prospects to Creative Sign.  Her hard work, extremely friendly personality, and outstanding organization even landed her on Creative Sign’s Wall of Fame in 2019 and 2020 for sales over $500k and $750k.

Tracy is fearless in tackling any project and dedicated to giving our customers the best in quality and service.  For these reasons, Tracy is the perfect Creative Sign teammate to represent the trait of Identity.  She is a Creative Sign ambassador.

Congrats, Tracy!  Like your fellow Sign Nerd said, “Tracy is long overdue for the Rockstar Award!!!”
